FAQ'S

1. What western disciplines do you train for?

We train horses for a variety of western disciplines, including cutting, ranch work, cow horse, and all-around western riding. Our program focuses on creating broke, confident horses with a solid foundation that can go on in any western direction.

2. What age should a horse start training?

Most horses can begin light groundwork as yearlings and start under saddle around two years old, depending on maturity. Every horse is evaluated individually to ensure both physical and mental readiness.

3. How long does it take to train a horse?

Training timelines vary by horse and goals. Most foundation programs start at 30–90 days, while performance or finishing programs may require several months. Consistency and patience are key to long-term success.

4. Do you take outside horses for training?

Yes, we accept outside horses based on availability. Each horse is evaluated to make sure our program is the right fit for their needs and the owner’s goals.

5. What is your training philosophy?

We focus on clear communication, consistency, and fairness. Our goal is to build trust and confidence while creating a willing, responsive partner—not just a trained horse.

6. Will my horse work cattle?

If appropriate for the horse and owner’s goals, we introduce cattle work gradually. We prioritize correct basics first, then build confidence and understanding around cattle without rushing the process.

7. Can beginners or non-professional riders benefit from your program?

Absolutely. We believe a good western horse should be user-friendly and dependable. We train horses to be suitable for their rider’s experience level, whether that’s a beginner or a seasoned competitor.

8. How often are horses ridden or worked?

Horses are worked consistently, typically six days a week, depending on the program and the horse’s needs. Training includes riding, groundwork, and mental breaks to keep horses fresh and willing.

9. Do you provide updates on horses in training?

Yes. Owners receive regular updates, photos, and videos so they can follow their horse’s progress and stay connected throughout the training process.

10. What should I expect when my horse goes home?

Our goal is to send horses home confident, responsive, and ready to continue progressing. We provide guidance for owners to help maintain consistency and build on the training at home.
